We offer free tours to schools, scouts, and other groups. Our tours can be scheduled Monday through Saturday and usually last about two hours. They start with a short video covering the process of limestone quarrying and the history of Rohrer’s Incorporated. Throughout the tour, we’ll discuss topics including the mining process, basic geology, and careers in the quarry and stone industry.

For tours held during production (Monday through Friday), groups are required to provide their own bus or van for transportation around the quarry. Everyone in your group must fit safely in no more than two vehicles. Handicap access is available. Hardhats and safety glasses are provided as needed.

During Saturday tours, groups normally have the opportunity to safely walk the entire property, down into the quarry pit and throughout the stone plant and concrete plant. PLEASE NOTE: The walking tour is not suitable for children who must be carried or pushed in a stroller.

Our tours are free of charge! We want to help educate the community about the importance of a quarry.
